The Severn Series explores tension between natural and built forces in the landscape.
Polished paintings, by Artist and Creative Director Beth Morafon, reveal the second Severn Crossing, as it plunges beyond the old salmon pool and into a void of mist and infinity. The paintings depict an ephemeral edge to the 'known world'. A muted horizontal vertigo creeps through the opaque space.
Generally void of characters, the paintings speak of an aching loneliness.
